What this site is
A free, publicly available collection of gardening guides. There is no account, no purchase, no subscription and no service being delivered to you. You read pages; that is the whole relationship.
Gardening advice disclaimer
The content here is general educational information, not professional horticultural, agricultural, nutritional, medical or legal advice.
Specifically:
- Planting dates are estimates. Every date on this site is derived from average frost dates for a USDA hardiness zone. A zone covers a very large area, and local conditions — elevation, microclimate, an unusual season — will differ. Confirm dates with your county cooperative extension office before relying on them.
- Gardens fail for reasons outside anyone’s control. Weather, pests, disease, soil and seed quality all vary. We cannot guarantee any result, harvest or yield.
- Verify anything you intend to eat. Never eat a plant you have not positively identified. Some common garden plants have toxic leaves, stems or fruit even when another part is edible.
- Soil safety is your responsibility. If you garden near an older building, a former industrial site, or a road, have the soil tested before growing food in it.
- Follow product labels. Where a guide mentions a product or amendment, the manufacturer’s instructions and your local regulations take precedence over anything written here.
You use this information at your own risk, and you are responsible for decisions you make in your own garden.

The written guides, page layouts and design are copyright of the site operator.
